ADED Town Hall Meeting: CDRS Exam Criteria Update

DATE: Thursday, September 24th

TIME:  5:30 PM EST

 

The CDRS Examination is designed to test a well-defined body of knowledge repetitive of professional practice. Candidates may take the certification examination if they meet one of the four (4) education requirements listed below.The legacy eligibility requirements will remain in effect through the 2023 examination administration.

  1. Health Care Providers possessing a post-graduate certificate ADED-approved university program. Must also have experience hours and pass ethics and best practice quizzes.
  2. Health Care Providers with 4-year degree or higher possessing either Driver Rehabilitation Professional Micro-credential and experience hours or experience hours, ADED curriculum completion, and pass ethics and best practice quizzes.
  3. Non-healthcare providers with 4-year degree or higher possessing either Driver Rehabilitation Professional Micro-credential and experience hours or experience hours, ADED curriculum completion, and pass ethics and best practice quizzes.
  4. Healthcare providers with 2-year degree possessing either Driver Rehabilitation Professional Micro-credential and experience hours or experience hours, ADED curriculum completion, and pass ethics and best practice quizzes.

 Representatives from the Certification Committee will review the new criteria and field any questions from members or those planning on sitting for the 2021 examination.
